Our Fruitport location is on a secluded country road just outside the town. The backyard is blueberry fields. In order for our clients to keep anonymity and feel this is truly home we do not display commercial signs on the property.
The home is a large, traditional home. We have a large family dining room where clients and staff eat together at the table. The home also has two gathering rooms, a handicap accessible ramp leading down to a vegetable garden for gathering outside. Each client has a private room with their private half bathroom attached.

Spring Lake, Michigan
Our Spring Lake location is located off a main road near restaurants, shops, and gas stations. A busier location that is great for those who want easy access to things in the area.
Local area transport is as low as 75 cents to take clients and their families to the nearby attractions such as the Grand Haven beaches, downtown Spring Lake, and the shopping centers. Keeping our priority of privacy for all clients, our home doesn’t have any commercial signs.
The home was built in 2020 & has an open concept living/dining/kitchen area. The home also boasts single occupancy rooms with attached half bathrooms. True to the beachy location the home is filled with light colors, large windows, and an outdoor patio for gathering.

Our Amenities include private rooms with attached half bathrooms, all medication management, medication delivery service directly to home, all meals included, all housekeeping included.
Rooms come furnished with bed ( all sheets, pillows, blankets included), dresser, and night stand.

What is an Adult Foster Care home?
Adult Foster Care homes (or AFC homes) provide 24-hour personal care, protection, and supervision for adults who can not live alone, but do not need continuous nursing care.
Are AFC homes licensed?
Yes! Every AFC Home is licensed and regulated by the State of Michigan & federal laws.
Do AFC homes handle medication?
Yes. Staff is trained to administer medications that are prescribed to the client. This includes insulin and pain medications.
How do I know my family member will receive the care they need?
Each staff member must go through state mandated training to work in a licensed AFC home. Every staff member is trained and remains current on CPR certifications, health and safety in group homes, and how to administer medications.
Our home also uses electronic medication management system to prevent errors, each client has alert buttons at all times, and every client has a personalized care plan we adhere to.

The Woodland Garden company was started by Anita Anderson and her family in 2017. We started with our Fruitport, MI location and have now added a second home located in Spring Lake, MI.
Our idea was to create homes that allow for safety while providing as much independence as possible for our clients. Each client is treated with the dignity, respect, and care they deserve.

CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) is a private, not-for-profit organization. Basically, a gold standard in assisted living care that is recognized through out the world.
This accreditation along with our state licensing, assures that our clients are receiving the highest standards of care in a person centered planning home.
